It's time for part two of Paris! Today I'm sharing pictures from our visit to the Palace of Versailles, our bus/boat tour around the city, and our visit to the Louvre. One very rainy morning we took a tour of the Palace of Versailles. It was so interesting for me to visit as I had just taken an art history class in which I learned fascinating details about the palace and its former inhabitants, King Louie XIV and Marie Antoinette. Its such a magnificent palace! The entire building is a piece of art. The Louvre was just as gorgeous. I had forgotten how beautiful it was until I was able to look back at my pictures. My mom and I especially loved walking through the museum, searching for pieces of art we would know. We hunted down works by artists such as Monet, da Vinci, and Michelangelo. It was such a neat experience! After our visit to the Louvre, we went down the street to a well-known restaurant called Angelina. We ate sandwiches, the best I have ever had, and finished off with dessert.
We loved the big cities, London and Paris, but our next stop was one we didn't want to leave! Be on the lookout for the next country!
